Darlee's Quilts, etc. - Scrapbooking

Have you discovered how "fun" creating scrapbooked projects are? I hadn't really done much of that, but had seen the creative work of others. It seemed too complicated to fit that endeavor into my creative time, until I decided I'd make my own card for a special occasion. I know one can go to the store and buy many nice cards in the $1.00 section, but many people really appreciate receiving a personally created card especially for them.

For all those photographs that still sit in boxes, waiting to be organized and displayed in a more creative way, I am learning to develop my scrapbooking style, and one day, they too will find there way out of the darkness! That is my intention! I imagine they will get upgraded first to a digital format, and then, I will have lots of material to create "digital" scrapbooking ideas.

I will bring more of my designs to my website, as time goes on. I also plan to put some of my ideas into pdf files so they can be available for downloading.

Also with several scrapbooked cards I also made a special folder with scrapbooked pages of my quilt-making journey for a 50th birthday gift in June 2008 for my sister. I actually made this into a duvet cover, instead of a regular quilt because I wanted to complete it for the occasion. It could always be taken apart to create two quilts. The back design was created entirely from my fabric stash. So, that brought an interesting challenge that I truly enjoyed! You can see more about this project at the Museum Galleries.
